If you surf the blogosphere, you’ll find thousands of blogs that started out with a lot of promise but they’ve now decayed and declined. Most bloggers find out soon enough that:

  • Writing
  • Is
  • Hard
  • Work

As a result, bloggers start out with a lot of steam. But after a certain time, they stop writing regularly and their blogs die a slow death.

(Disclosure: You’ll find a few blogs by yours truly that started out well but have died a slow death too.)

The Trick to Writing Regularly

The trick is to know this:

Its easier to
write one post everyday
than to write 2-3 posts a week.

As counter intuitive as it sounds, its true. Because by deciding to write one post a day, you’ll set a fixed schedule. You won’t procrastinate. You won’t wait for inspiration to hit you. You won’t try to find excuses. Instead, you’ll form a habit!

And habit is what will keep your blog going.

Action Summary:

  • If you are a sporadic blogger and post irregularly, switch gears - and make it your goal to write one-post-a-day.
  • Form a habit and you’ll build momentum and make things easier for you.
