Recently, an anonymous poster asks on my favourite forum:

In response to that question, Jason Cain* made a quick 13 minute podcast. It’s simply superb advice! With Jason’s permission, you can listen to it here:

Who Is Jason Cain?
Jason Cain is one of the old hands at blogging. He’s been making money with a blog since 1999! (Did we even have blogs then?) He’s a marketing genius in my books. And is most famous for running GoldBlogger - which unfortunately hasn’t been updated since ages now.
The reason GoldBlogger isn’t updated frequently is because Jason spends most of his time making money with blogs and websites instead of writing about it much. Now a days, he is busy creating an empire in the martial arts niche.
Jason is some one who has been there and done that. You’ll do well listening to his advice.

Really interesting post for newbies like me !
As usual you’re so clear in what is said that’s just awesome ! (I don’t believe your “About” page saying you’re disorganized, that’s just not possible ^^)
I listened first to the podcast before reading the text and all questions I had while listening was answered just below, that’s really great.
First thing I’ll take into account from now on is trying to be as clear as you are

This is off the topic but I noticed the If You Like this post you may like ….,
is this a plugin? I like how you have it at the bottom of your posts, very clever. I am not sure how it works but it appears to work for the majority of your posts, not this one though. Not sure if it was intentional or not.

Mark: Thanks. Its a plugin called Similar Posts. I’m not exactly sure how it works - but think it takes the categories as well as the title of the post into account. As this was the first podcast on the blog - it may not have found any related post… so didn’t work for this post.

Love this podcast, and thanks for the link to GOldBLogger. I’m at a point of frustration with many projects and this was what I needed to hear!
