“Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. . . . Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A rope made of three cords is hard to break.” - Ecclesiastes 4:9

The biggest mistake a blogger can make is start a blog without a marketing strategy in place. Most blog owners have no clue about blog promotion. And so their traffic statistics are miserable… they make no money… and they quit.

    Ankesh,

Thanks for reminding me about these strategies. I learned all about them in the beginning but had forgotten how important they are regarding marketing.

I was reading an post by another writer and tied both his post with yours and wrote about it, using my blogroll as a way to keep in touch as a marketing tool. It is too easy to just read in Google Reader and move on.

It seems more effective to use a blogroll to visit my frequent sites to leave a comment on.

Hope all is well in the search for a new programmer by the way.

Mark: Thanks for contemplating and taking action.

My search for the programmer is going good. I actually hired a offshore company to complete one of my projects so as not to slow things down a lot. And am still looking to hire a dedicated programmer for BlogClout. But have 2-3 very promising candidates. So things should be on track soon.
